Sightseeing Again

After leaving Rabat and the campsite at Sale we headed South along the coastal road to Casa. I had already read in the Lonely Planet guide that the city lacks some of the finesse and grandeur portrayed in the film, so wasn’t too surprised to be greeted with the incessant horn blowing that occurs in the big cities outside Cheshire!

Quite a tedious but ever optimistic search led us to the campsite just off the edge of the guide map! The aptly named ‘Oasis Camping’, nestled just outside the main city. Here we made the bold move of parking next to some impressive 4×4 Landcruisers with roof tents and overland kit attached. First thing they noticed was how poorly weighted our vehicle was/is (unknown problem, have rubbished every suggestion). A group of french chaps who were out to drive around the desert in Senegal and Mauritania, nice and generous with their supply of Pastisse! Odd diet though!
Anyway - enclosed are some photos of the city. These include the ‘massive mosque’ (name will come to me), and other shots of the places and people of the pseudo european city.
Enjoy.
