Explanations

So for the last couple of weeks we have been holed up at Big Millys in Kokrobite on the beach, lets face it there’s worse places to be stuck.

Its been a fortnight of difficult decisions and a few goodbyes, yes unfortunately I had to say goodbye to my surfboard. Oh and also as you may or may not know, Camilla is on a boat on her way home to England, and as im writing this Matt (Tuters) is probably sat at Ghana airport bored out of his skull waiting for a plane back to the UK. He had a tough decision but decided to stop racking up too big a debt, and is heading back to oversee the car sale. I am expecting a signing off diary entry from him when he gets back to the UK (will send you the link son). As for me, im going to do my best to keep this show on the road for a little longer.

I have spent the last three days commuting into Accra on a multitude of bush taxis, and have managed to collect visas for Togo, Benin and Nigeria. Despite what all the Germans and Dutch were telling us, ‘you must get visas in The Gambia, it is your only chance’, The Gambia of all places! - im so glad I never listen to you guys. The Togolese embassy were really friendly and quick, they were able to supply a joint visa for a group of the Ecowas countries (Niger, Togo, Benin, Cote D’Ivoire, Burkina Faso). The Nigerian embassy was just plain comical, i’ve never seen anyone try so hard to keep a straight face. He informed me to return between 2 and 3 the next day, where I may or may not have my visa. At $100 a pop we both new he was going to give me a visa.
